Universal Studios Singapore

( Part I )

Universal Studios Singapore is the place you wouldn't want to miss when you're in Singapore. Opened in March 2010, it has become one of the most popular tourist spots in Singapore and in South East Asia. It is one of the only four Universal Studios amusement parks around the world - with the other three located in Orlando and Hollywood (both in the US) and in Japan - making it the nearest to South East Asian countries like the Philippines. Universal Studios boasts of its advanced rides, shows and attractions based on blockbuster movies like Transformers, Shrek, Madagascar and Jurassic Park.
Of course, who would want to miss this place when it is just a bus away from home? Definitely not me! So we went here last November 2013!

China Town

China Town
More often than not, you’ll always find China Towns whenever you travel to different countries. According to my research (please correct me if I’m wrong), there are 30 China Towns all over Asia, Europe and America! Of course, Singapore is not an exception. I haven’t been to Binondo in Manila yet, the oldest of all China Towns around the world, so I wanted to experience it here in Singapore. We went here on the third week of January to buy pasalubong before going back to Philippines for a short vacation. It was also just in time for the upcoming Chinese New Year so I was expecting a very lively China Town!

Supertree Grove

@Gardens By The Bay

Singapore is indeed a small city-state. But despite this, you will not run out of wonderful places that you’d surely like to visit. One of these is the Gardens By The Bay. It is one of the most famous places tourists usually visit when they come in Singapore. The concept is just pretty simple – gardens within the city. When we went here last September to practice photography (but it turned out that we’re really not yet good at it! Haha!), I didn’t do a research first so all I know was that it is a garden with those huge “trees” that I always see from the highway. Little did I know that there’s a lot more than that. Gardens By The Bay is comprised of several attractions: Flower Dome, Supertree Grove (where we went), Cloud ForestHeritage GardenDragonfly & Kingfisher LakesBay East Garden, World of Plants, Far East Organization Children’s Garden and Sun Pavilion. Some can be accessed free of charge but others have entrance fees.

Start of Something New!

Hooray for my first post! This only goes to show how bored I am to start blogging! Haha!

So, this whole blogging thing is new to me and here come my dilemmas. First of all, I am not a good writer. For me, being a blogger means you should be a good writer. Back in the university days, I always had a hard time finishing essays, papers and the like. All my brain juices were squeezed out every single time! Thank goodness I took Engineering! Haha! But as they say, there’s no harm in trying. Although writing is not my forte, let’s give it a try! I have a lot of free time to think of what to write anyway! Second, I've been seeing blogs with specific topics on them, like beauty and fashion, photography, gadgets, travel and adventures, etc.  I am still not yet decided on what to blog about. But hey! Let’s see along the way. Let’s not close doors, shall we? Remember, there’s a lot of possibilities out there so just you wait!
